Application: Drinking water
Water pipeline renewal under Versailles main square.
In order to ensure the best technical solution for this emblematic project, our engineers used a trenchless pipe laying technique. This technique is ideal to respect urban constraints:
- Pass through dense networks in a historical area,
- Keep the nuisance caused to citizens to a minimum,
- Limit as much as possible the project duration and the operating area.
Consequently, our Natural pipes were laid by micro-tunneling. Several steps were necessary: a pilot hole was created, using a drilling machine guided from the exterior; then our pipes are assembled and pulled of the string of anchored pipes from the downstream well toward the upstream, using the drilling machine.
