PAM produces its first DN2000 pipes from the NATURAL range for Cambodia - Bakheng WTP
Bakheng is one of the largest European investment projects in Cambodia co-financed by the French Development Agency, the European Investment Bank and the Phnom Penh Water Authority. The project consists of the construction of the Bakheng Water Treatment Plant (WTP), in the northern suburbs of Phnom Penh. In order to connect the west bank of the Mekong to the treatment station, then to serve 1 million inhabitants with drinking water, the customer's choice fell on our PAM solutions incorporating our latest innovations.
This project is divided into two phases and aims to increase the drinking water supply to 390,000 m3 per day. The project consists of 2 lines of diameter 1400 connecting the Mekong to the treatment station over 1.5 km, then a DN2000 line over 7.5 km in order to supply the population with drinking water. All our technical know-how is concentrated in these pipes with our latest technologies on large diameter pipes: blast furnace cement, aluminous cement, Zinc / Aluminum alloy, Universal Ve double chamber locking and PAMLOCK.
Pipes diameter 2000 of the Natural range
20 years for the Natural range, 20 years for the DN2000. In 2020, production of the first pipes combining these 2 characteristics! In order to meet customer demands, we have just launched our first production of NATURAL pipes with a diameter of 2000. The outer coating of the Natural range, which is now celebrating its 20th anniversary on small diameters, was chosen for this project in order to guarantee an optimal lifespan without resorting to the use of the PE sleeve.
We are at the start of this magnificent project which should still last a good part of the year 2021. The first pipes should arrive in Cambodia in December 2020. This project is strategic for the company, because it brings together our latest innovations at the factory process level. A first train has just delivered our products to the port of Antwerp, ready for a nice trip to Cambodia.
