In the historic center of San José, capital of Costa Rica, 500 gratings of Saint-Gobain PAM are being installed.
Project specifications
Owner: Municipality SAN JOSE
Application: Pluvial system in San José
Gratings: C250
The municipality was faced with 3 major issues: floods, acts of vandalism on the gratings and the throwing of waste in them, the waste then polluting the Pacific Ocean.
In response, the municipality has chosen the replacement by ductile iron gratings of Saint-Gobain PAM, solid products with better absorption capacity; they are accompanied by a plaque bearing the words/
"EL MAR EMPIEZA AQUI - NO ARROJE BASURA".
At the same time, a campaign has been launched to raise citizens' awareness of respect for their environment.
