Sustainable development

PAM

Our complete commitment to sustainability and society

PAM has a policy of sustainable development that covers the entire lifecycle of our various pipe, fitting, joint, accessory and municpal casting products.

PAM’s products require less energy and natural resources of water transport systems. They also have small CO2 emissions thanks to:

  • Pipelines with an optimised thickness that last longer; and
  • The development of ergonomic installation techniques.

At every step, from the design of products to their transport and use, we are fully focused on responsible and sustainable patterns of consumption and production.
In fact, within a 15-year period, we have reduced our energy consumption by an average of 30% to produce a pipe of the same diameter, while our move to acrylic paint in 2012 helped reduce VOC emissions by 24% in our plants. Moreover, our patented Zinalium external coating triples the lifetime of pipelines in most scenarios, thus limiting pipeline network renewal.
