At PAM, our objective is a simply one: to offer you, from 2028 onwards, comprehensive solutions with ductile iron, installed for 100 years, low carbon and 100% recyclable. To guarantee you more sustainable, more resilient and more responsible networks. We have placed environmental challenges at the heart of our strategy. The energy transition has started, and we want to speed it up.
80% less CO2 in 2028
The new electric furnaces we are deploying mean that we will be able to offer you an 80% reduction in the CO2 impact of our ductile iron products by 2028. To achieve this, we have launched a three-stage transformation program (Thor, Vulcain, Orion). This program embodies our commitment to sustainability. From now on, every new PAM project will be part of this dynamic, with modernisation of production tools, optimisation of our energy consumption, and integration of more environmentally friendly materials.
70% less water
Following installation of closed-loop systems at the Pont-à-Mousson blast furnaces, we have reduced our overall water consumption by 70%. In Foug, the Vulcain project even allows for an 80% reduction in the site's water consumption.
