SlotForm
SlotForm Ironwork Installation Shuttering System
The reusable, recyclable and resourceful modular ironwork shuttering system that ensures you enjoy a right first time installation.
We created SlotForm in partnership with Gladson to make ironwork installation easier and more cost-effective by minimising mortar bleeding and wastage. The innovative shuttering system works by defining the area where the flowable mortar is placed, ensuring the right amount of bedding mortar is used, eliminating waste and reducing whole-life installation costs.
Reduced installation and whole-life costs
As well as reducing mortar waste, SlotForm significantly reduces shuttering system installation time and material costs thanks to its reusable and easy-to-use modular design.
Sustainable
Because SlotForm is made from 100% recycled post-consumer polyethylene (plastic milk bottle tops) , it’s 100% reusable and recyclable, helping network owners reduce much more than mortar waste.
Durable
As well as being UV stable and water resistant, it's also resistant to chemical attack, frost and most corrosive substances.
Reduced health and safety risks and improved operator safety
At approximately 2kg per metre of material, it's lightweight, making it safe and easy to handle.
Easy to transport and use
Its modular design makes it lightweight and easy to handle and transport. It is also simple to use as it requires no specialist tools. Simply connect each section together using the locator dowels and add more layers to achieve the required reinstatement depth. Each plank is 100mm high.
Handy kit form and a suite of sizes to suit your needs
It is supplied in kit form with each kit containing the components to create one layer of shuttering. It is available in four sizes to suit 600x600, 915x445, 1220x685 and 1830x685 clear opening access covers. Each size has been designed to allow the minimum 50mm space beyond the edge of the frame flange as required by legislation such as Specification for the Reinstatement of Openings in Highways (commonly known as SROH).
