And good news for all European manufacturers of ductile iron pipes!

On 23 November, the European Commission published its new “Implementing Regulation” establishing a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports from Electrosteel, the Indian pipe producer.

Published in the Official Journal (see link in comment), this regulation increases the customs tax rate due by Electrosteel from 9 to 16%, with immediate effect.

In its regulation, the Commission (in Article 149) writes that Electrosteel provided "false or misleading information in order to underestimate the net weight of the metal used for the calculation of the dumping margin, such that -this must be weaker".

This EU decision follows a request for review of this same regulation, initiated in 2022 at the request of the Indian producer. It is very important for all Saint-Gobain PAM employees and European manufacturers of ductile iron pipes, faced with unfair practices.
