The use of the ductile iron enables the realization of the locking of covers of the manhole covers using a spring bar.
The spring bar is integrated into the cover and is placed by constraint under the spoiler of the frame during the closing.

The spring bar is in permanent stress; its reaction is taken again by positioning blocks placed at its opposite.
