Frame bedding
- Reduced frame width logically increases its bearing pressure on chamber top, when submitted to load.
- It is key to ensure that the frame is completely seated on the chamber top, without any cantilever. If necessary, a spare concrete ring can be used between chamber top and frame to improve its seating.
- Frame bedding must be achieved with Class CPA 500 concrete, or with quick setting mortars featuring a minimum resistance to compression of 50 MPa.
The use of the ductile iron enables the realization of the locking of covers of the manhole covers using a spring bar.
The spring bar is integrated into the cover and is placed by constraint under the spoiler of the frame during the closing.
Rexess2 manhole covers, featuring 785mm, 850mm & 800mm as frame dimensions can be fitted with an anti-theft spline.This anti-theft spline is specific to Rexess2 and bears the R2 mark.
The round and square PLANET manholes can be fitted with an anti-theft cover key. This key is specific to PLANET and is marked PLANET.
