Ductile iron is distinguished from ordinary grey iron by its remarkable mechanical properties

Saint-Gobain PAM has obtained numerous certificates and approvals guaranteeing its ability to design, manufacture and commercialize ductile iron pipeline pieces, according to strict quality assurance criteria and in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Every PAM pipe and fitting undergoes a works internal pressure test, in accordance with European and International Standards.

Three main stages are involved in the manufacture of pipes and fittings : metal preparation, pipe spinning/foundry casting and finishing/coatings.

PAM self-anchoring systems are designed and tested in strict compliance with the quality assurance procedures specified by standard ISO 9001-2000 and based on the standards applicable to ductile iron pipelines.

PAM has instituted a quality control organization complying with Standard ISO 9001. Its objective is to provide customers with products meeting perfectly their stated requirements.
