COMMITTED TO THE ENVIRONMENT AND HEALTH

Towards decarbonization

To reduce CO2 emissions, PAM OPTIMAL uses class C25 of the international ISO 2531 standard and optimizes the weight reduction of its pipes by up to 10%. 
PAM OPTIMAL will benefit from manufacturing with VULCAIN electric furnace and more recycled raw materials in 2025.

A natural and healthy solution

The internal lining of PAM OPTIMAL, which comes into contact with drinking water, is mineral. It is made with sand, cement, and drinking water, and is free of micro/nanoplastics. The quality of the components is controlled by PAM teams, its suppliers, and the public administration.

The Aquacoat® protective layer of the BioZinalium® exterior coating and the acrylic coating of the fittings are VOC-free and contain no bisphenol.

The PAM OPTIMAL ductile iron solution benefits from a better return on investment thanks to its very low maintenance, watertightness, and pumping savings.
The profitability of PAM OPTIMAL can be calculated using the PAM TCO Calculator software package, which evaluates the cost of the solution over its entire life cycle (acquisition, operation, end of life).

Ductile iron and BioZinalium

A robust and flexible material, ductile iron has excellent mechanical resistance.
The active coating composed of BioZinalium®, a blend of zinc, aluminum, and copper, provides long-lasting protection for pipes against soil damage.

The experience and safety of the Standard Joint

Standard joints allow the system to follow ground movements and withstand overpressure (water hammer).
Their installation is simple (no welding) and safe (Control+ option).
Millions of Standard joints have already been installed worldwide.

Installation is easy, and even easier thanks to the out-of-trench jointing machine.

Drilling for simple connection.
The drilling and cutting operations of PAM OPTIMAL pipes can be performed with traditional construction site tools (standard electric or hand drills).

Resilient to climate change.

PAM OPTIMAL offers security against the effects of climate change. (clay shrinkage and swelling, fires, torrential rain, etc.) thanks to its mechanical properties (resistance to ovalization, bending, etc.), its fire resistance, its non-permeation, and the design of its standard joint, whether locked or not (angular deflection, axial displacement), etc.
