Cover anti theft spline - PLANET / REXESS2

The spline is installed into the frame, as per instruction sheet C104.

Once the spline has been installed:

• 1/ the 2 lugs, visible in yellow on picture n°2 remain visible, they do not allow its removal
• 2/ proceed as described in point 3 of C104 sheet to block the splin into the bedding mortar
• 3/ the spline is not submitted to traffic stress and remains silent

Rexess2/Planet spline keeps the 90° safety blocking functional.

Deactivation of the 90° safety blocking

There are 2 alternative ways to proceed for the deactivation:

• 1- as usual, by means of a slight vertical uplift movement of the cover before pushing it forwards
• 2- by a slight tilt of the cover on the right, before before pushing it forwards

1. The safety position for any work around or into the manhole cover is when the covers rests at its maximum opening angle at 110°
2. The 90° safety blocking feature only prevents the cover from accidental closure, when involuntarily or accidentally pushed forwards
