Features
Rigid frame with notched flange
The rigid and stable frame benefices the LTS system* resulting from the industrial and scientific research (Nottingham University).
He has a widened flange which concentrates all efforts towards angles and thus increases the strength to the constraints of the B125 class (footways and car parks).
*LTS ®: System “Load Transfer System” enabling to increase the performance and the security in the time of square form municipal castings.
Bedding
The flange notching to the angles ensures a perfect anchoring in the mortar of bedding and the intermediate complementary notching ensures the reuse of support in the event of weak or insufficient bedding and prevents the deformation of the frame.
Comparison tests between the AKSESS range and the standard pavement hydraulic manhole covers show a very strong increase of the shearing strength (lateral wrenching):
Standard manhole covers : 900 daN
AKSESS manhole covers : 5000 daN
Dimensions and openings of AKSESS manhole covers ensure a satisfactory support on the very great majority of the concrete boxes and in the case of standardized boxes*, the interior dimensions are completely compatible with the clear openings of the AKSESS manhole covers.
The widened angles of the flame also take part in the quality of the support.
Practical andaesthetic finishing touches
The geometry of the AKSESS frames enables the installation of a bituminous mix, paving stones, pavements and tillings without particular difficulty.
