To supply drinking water to Gagnoa and Sinfra, the two largest cities in the Center West zone, located about 300 km northwest of Abidjan, water is collected in the Bandama, one of the four major rivers of the country, from Zambakro, near the official political capital, Yamoussoukro.
It is then transported south-west to Gagnoa, via Sinfra.
